The Free State of Bavaria has established the "M1 Foundation - Munich Medicine Alliance" as a legally independent foundation under public law with its headquarters in Munich. The purpose of the foundation is to promote science, research and innovation in the field of medicine and health with the interdisciplinary interfaces to technology and information technology. Other goals are knowledge and technology transfer and the translation of scientific findings into healthcare. To this end, the foundation bundles the activities of the medical faculties of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and the Technical University of Munich, the TUM Clinic, the LMU Clinic and the Helmholtz Center Munich.

Management (m/f/d) M1 – Munich Medicine Alliance
The managing director sets up the office of the M1 - Munich Medicine Alliance Foundation and manages day-to-day business in accordance with the foundation's purpose. In close cooperation with the foundation's board of directors, he/she coordinates scientific collaboration, cooperation with industry, spin-offs and the efficient translation of scientific findings into healthcare. Public relations, network maintenance and expansion are just as much a part of his/her responsibilities as committee coordination and support. We are looking for a research manager with visionary foresight, strategic ability and a passion for shaping the funding alliance in a future-oriented way.
Qualifications and professional skills:
- Successfully completed university degree, preferably in economics or law
- Several years of professional experience with leadership and budget responsibility in administrative science management, ideally in as many different institutions as possible at home and abroad
- Experience in working with public institutions, donors and committees
- Good knowledge of administrative processes in the public sector, especially in budget, procurement, grant and personnel law, as well as experience with agile project management methods for a modern, process-oriented administration
- Ideally existing networks in the areas of life sciences, technology and in the startup and investor environment
- Fluent German and English skills

- Strategic, networked thinking with the ability to develop a vision for the institution with the alliance partners
- Strong communication skills, enthusiasm, negotiating skills and flexible consulting skills when dealing with different research personalities

You will be offered an interesting and responsible job with scope for creativity in an international environment with flexible working hours. Remuneration will be based on the collective agreement of the federal states (T-VL) depending on qualifications or through a non-collective agreement. You are expected to be willing to relocate your place of residence to the Munich region.
The position will be filled by the M1 – Munich Medicine Alliance Foundation.
