The Technical University of Darmstadt is seeking to fill the position to be filled. The TU Darmstadt stands for excellent and relevant science. Eligibility Criteria


We are looking for a scientifically proven leader with national and/or international experience and a good knowledge of the German science system who will develop the profile of the TU Darmstadt in a creative, committed and expert manner, taking into account the legally stipulated autonomy. The aim is to expand the special strengths of the TU Darmstadt in interdisciplinary cooperation between engineering, natural sciences, humanities and social sciences and, in particular, to actively shape the excellence and internationalization strategy. TU Darmstadt lives a culture of open communication and expects applicants to be able to integrate and cooperate internally and externally.

The current president is standing for re-election.

The president is elected by the university assembly on the proposal of the university council in accordance with the requirements of Section 45 of the Hessian Higher Education Act. Remuneration is negotiated with the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art.

The Technical University of Darmstadt aims to increase the proportion of women among its staff and therefore particularly encourages women to apply.
