About Us
The Kunsthalle Bremen, whose private sponsor is the Kunstverein in Bremen, founded in 1823 and with over 10,000 members, is one of the largest and most respected art museums in Germany. Special exhibitions that attract the public and the presentation of over 700 years of art history in the nationally and internationally renowned collection shape the image of the Kunsthalle Bremen in the public perception, as do innovative curatorial concepts and a leading scientific role.
In recent years, the Kunsthalle has started a sustainable process of opening up, diversification and digitization in order to respond to the demographic and media changes in Germany and to enable new approaches.
